About the Role:
As Lead Software Engineer, you will design, implement, and oversee current and future software standards, frameworks, and integrations for applications developed by RetailData. You will lead several application development teams and be responsible for sprint cycles, technology roadmap, best practices, and career growth of the Software Developers. You will coordinate with Architects and Technology Leaders in the US and internationally to support integrations, testing, and release plans.

As Lead Software Engineer, you will design, implement, and oversee current and future software standards, frameworks, and integrations for applications developed by RetailData. You will lead several application development teams and be responsible for sprint cycles, technology roadmap, best practices, and career growth of the Software Developers. You will coordinate with Architects and Technology Leaders in the US and internationally to support integrations, testing, and release plans.
What You'll Do:
- Lead several teams of Developers working on specific application development projects.
- Ensure standards are followed and updated to reflect best practices for software development.
- Provide oversight of the development process and develop solutions for database architecture, integration, and security across multiple applications.
- Provide input into the right team resources and skillsets and provide aggressive but possible estimates for story completion.
- Mentor, train and develop team members.
- Coordinate with Stakeholders and Executives on status of projects and other updates.
- Coordinate with international resources; provide leadership and mentoring to offshore software development teams.
- Ensure adequate and thorough testing and QA is completed before releasing applications to production.
- Ensure proper documentation is created to support solutions.
- Break down roadblocks and facilitate communication between teams to ensure standards are followed and to prevent duplication of effort.
- Perform other management tasks as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of new technologies and software methodologies related to the Microsoft software development platform.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in software development, architecture, and testing.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with the Agile SDLC methodology and extensive familiarity with all Agile ceremonies.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with .Net, C#, HTML5, CSS, T-SQL, Angular, and Azure.
- Experience leading teams of developers on individual projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Test Plans and Azure Dev Ops preferred.
- Knowledge of web design, HTML5, and CSS preferred.
- Experience with international development teams preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office.
