Lead Software Engineer - Humana, Inc.

Humana Inc. seeks a Lead Software Engineer in Louisville, KY.Duties: Work with our business partners to review and understand requirements and work with architects to finalize design, makes recommendations on the technical solution and the technology to adopt, and lead a team of developers to deliver functionality based on the requirements. Implement the organization's strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance, and support of on-premise and cloud architecture. Create cloud engineering standards for the department, which will involve communication and interaction with IT leadership. Collaborate with business, IT architects, and tech leads to develop specifications for new Cloud-based products/services, applications, and solutions. Drive design standards across the organization and share with other engineers to ensure the right architecture designs/patterns are being followed. Review code to ensure best practices are being followed for coding standards, quality and security. Train team members on these best practices. Work with the Test Leads to oversee testing and drive testing automation. Work with Production Support to ensure proper knowledge transfer and hand-off so they can support the changes development team deploys to production. 100% telecommuting permitted within the U.S.This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, plus 8 years of experience in Cloud Computing or related occupation.Requires 5 years of experience with:•Designing and developing Data Warehousing projects. •ETL.•Leading project team in design, analysis, development, documentation and for the formulation of the process and maintain data quality.•Cloud computing platform and services.•Microsoft SQL server. •Microsoft Business Intelligence Tool including SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).•Informatica PowerCenter, Microsoft PowerBI, Visual studio, and Control-M Job Scheduler.•Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure Cloud.•PowerShell, JSON, PL/SQL and TSQL. •MDX and DAX scripting.Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
