Lead Software Engineer - Averity

We are an early stage generative AI startup headquartered in NYC focused on disrupting and transforming the global recruitment landscape.

What is the job?

You will join the CEO, Director of Sales, and Director of Operations in a hybrid capacity in the New York City office as the first Engineering hire in the US.

Working closely with the CTO you will take on a number of responsibilities including hands-on development and technical leadership surrounding our offshore development teams. This includes code reviews and overseeing the core development processes.

Your core development responsibilities will include full-stack Javascript/Typescript development of our Generative AI HR platform and tooling. You will touch all aspects of the stack including Front-End (React), Back-End (Node/Nest), as well as portions of the AI. From a leadership perspective you will ensure all functions are merged into a cohesive codebase.

What are the requirements for the role?

• Technical Leadership - developing and overseeing technical projects from start to finish
• 10+ years of Hands-on Engineering experience
• Experience with code reviews, establishing best practices, and improving engineering standards
• In-depth knowledge of architecture and system design
• Expertise in Javascript, Typescript, React, and Nest.js
• Database experience utilizing MongoDB and Prisma
• Knowledge of DevOps and the deployment of new applications and features
