Lead Software Engineer, Salesforce

As a Capital One Software Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems

• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community, and from time to time, be asked to code or evaluate code

• Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment

• Utilize coding languages like JavaScript (Angular, React, Node), HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL and Java, Salesforce development with Apex, Native, VisualForce, Lightning framework, SOQL, REST & SOAP APIs, and RESTful web services

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 6 years of experience in Software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)

• At least 4 years of experience in Salesforce Software Engineering

• At least 1 year experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree

• Salesforce System Administrator Certification or Platform Developer 1 Certification, Advance Admin Certification, Platform App Builder, or Platform Developer 2 Certification

• 1+ years of people management experience

• 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Salesforce development with Apex, Native, VisualForce, Lightning framework, SOQL

• 1+ years of AWS experience

• 3+In-depth knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and experience building integrations

• 3+ years experience with Service Oriented Architecture

• 3+ years of experience with the AppExchange tools.

• 3+ years of experience supporting Salesforce.com configuration tasks such as field/page updates, workflows, validations, custom permissions, and approvals.

• 3+ years of experience with enterprise integration tools and extract, transformation, and load (ETL) tools.

• 3+ years of experience in real-time Salesforce Development Community (SFDC) data integration with Enterprise systems.

• 3+ years of experience with SOAP/REST API development.

• 2+ years of experience converting business requirements into solution designs

• 1+ year of experience with Lightning.

• 1+ years of experience leading or facilitating sessions to define and document business requirements.

• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
