Job Description:
We are seeking a Lead Sonographer to join our team at a healthcare facility in Burlington, VT. In this role, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams under physician supervision, collaborate with peers, and take the lead in managing the sonography team. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor and educate team members, with a minimum of 8 hours a week dedicated to administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams independently and in collaboration with physicians.
- Provide leadership within the sonography team, mentoring and managing staff.
- Allocate administrative time to support team operations and departmental functions.
- Participation in a holiday and weekend rotation is required, with the potential for future on-call assignments based on departmental needs.
Work Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM), Participation in holiday and weekend shifts is required with varying weekend shift times.
Relocation & Sign-On Bonus:
Candidates hired full-time and relocating from over 50 miles away may be eligible for relocation assistance up to $9,200. Additionally, there is a sign-on bonus of $15,000 paid in three increments—at hiring, after six months, and after one year.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of a certified CAAHEP school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology, or a two-year allied health program with extensive ultrasound training.
- Active ARDMS registration in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular (or at least two of these specialties).
- 8 years of paid ultrasound scanning experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a Level I trauma center.
- Familiarity with GE ultrasound technology.
- Experience working with Epic EMR and Visage PACS systems.
