Overview:

The Lead Sonographer plays a crucial role in our diagnostic imaging team, overseeing and performing ultrasound examinations to produce high-quality diagnostic images. This position is essential for providing accurate and timely patient care, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of sonographers, providing guidance and support

Perform ultrasound examinations and analyses as needed

Ensure appropriate and safe operation of ultrasound equipment

Develop and implement quality assurance processes

Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care

Oversee scheduling and workflow management

Conduct training and education for staff

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Participate in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

Adhere to regulatory and safety standards

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in sonography or related field

ARDMS certification or equivalent

5+ years of experience in diagnostic medical sonography

Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role

Expertise in ultrasound technology and equipment

Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and protocols

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and safety

Proficiency in relevant software and electronic medical record systems

​Candidates hired in a full-time position, from a distance that is greater than 50 miles from their previous role and home, are eligible for relocation assistance up to $9,200.&

BONUS INFO

$15,000 subject to tax and signed agreement paid in three equal increments at hire, six months, and one year.
