Lead Structural Engineer
This opportunity is with a distinguished client company represented by gpac, specializing in a wide range of engineering services, including Civil, Structural, and land surveying. The firm is known for executing diverse projects across the United States, primarily serving government entities and large-scale commercial developers. Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee structural design activities for various concurrent projects.
- Supervise, verify, and evaluate structural design submissions, including drawings, timelines, specifications, and calculations.
- Analyze and create structural frameworks for diverse building types, including educational, healthcare, commercial, retail, residential, industrial, and institutional sectors.
- Lead project managers, engineering staff, and technical specialists.
- Establish and uphold project financials while monitoring project progress.
- Engage actively in business growth initiatives, including project opportunities, client relations, and organizational participation.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in team leadership, including conducting performance evaluations.
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution in the U.S.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in designing primary structural systems.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management and associated leadership roles.
- Over 10 years of design experience in various materials, including structural steel, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, wood, and masonry.
- Background in client engagement, business development, proposal writing, and contract discussions.
- Possession of a Professional Engineer license in Wisconsin; Illinois Structural Engineer license is a plus.
- Relevant work experience based in the U.S.
