Location: Hallendale Beach. This is a remote role but the candidate must live in or near, or be willing to relocate to, Hallendale Beach where the inspections will take place.

LEAD STRUCTURAL PLANS EXAMINER - HALLENDALE BEACH
Job Responsibilities:
- Review construction plans and specifications for commercial, industrial, and residential projects to ensure compliance with city, state, and federal regulations.
- Lead preconstruction meetings with contractors, developers, and associated teams to discuss project details and expectations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to inspection teams, particularly regarding field-related issues.
- Address and resolve complaints from clients, applicants, the public, designers, and contractors.
- Maintain regular communication with municipal clients and their teams.
- Conduct field inspections when necessary, interpreting and applying relevant building codes on-site.
- Participate in meetings, seminars, and events related to building codes and regulations.
Required Skills:
- In-depth understanding of local building codes and modern construction practices and technologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, the public, contractors, and government agencies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to take initiative and make independent decisions when necessary.
- Competence in drafting plan review correspondence and updating information in company software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with different editions of the International Building Codes and a commitment to staying up to date.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer skills.
This role requires a candidate who can manage multiple tasks efficiently while staying current on building codes and construction trends.
Required Certifications:
- FL Standard Inspector License in Building required
- FL Standard Plans Examiner License in Building required
- FL Certified General Contractor License required
