Job Overview:

Our client is looking for a skilled

Lead Tax Analyst

to join their team out of their

Pittsburgh, PA office

. This will be remote and will be responsible for overseeing government-mandated tax filings, and tax provisions, and ensuring compliance with both GAAP and STAT standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and prepare government-mandated tax filings for the company and its subsidiaries, including wholly and jointly owned entities.

Oversee the preparation of tax provisions in accordance with GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles (STAT).

Coordinate knowledge in tax, GAAP, and statutory accounting to design transactions and effectively communicate their impacts.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

7 years of experience in tax accounting (ASC 740), tax compliance, and planning,

either in a corporate tax department or public accounting firm.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in auditing or general accounting.

Knowledge of statutory accounting and insurance taxation.

Familiarity with federal taxes, including corporations, partnerships, trusts, tax-exempt organizations, property and casualty insurance companies, life insurance companies, employee benefits, and individual taxes.

Understanding of state and local taxes across various jurisdictions.

Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP).
