Title: Lead Technical Program Manager, Design (News & Entertainment – Streaming)
Location Options: Glendale CA, NYC, or Seattle WA (hybrid on-site)
Duration: Estimated 2 years
Compensation: $74-84/hr.

- Collaborate with the Design Manager/Director on project organization, allocations, team welfare/health, status tracking, and successful deliveries.
- Accountable for driving execution and delivery of high-profile product or software development programs and work streams from start to finish.
- Identify and remove blockers to enable Designers to work productively toward project goals.
- Ability to drive problems to resolution by leading and driving the right conversations with stakeholders, applying decision-making frameworks and data-driven methodologies.
- Organize and lead routine ceremonies for the health of both individual projects as well as the overall program, with a mindfulness of time zone differences and work/life balance.
- Proactively ask and identify gaps or blockers prior to intake to ensure that the team has all the information and resources necessary to succeed.
- Including dependencies, urgencies, and a clear definition of success for outcomes/deliverables before starting a project.
- Ensure the team is delivering great design quickly, predictably, and with appropriately defined scope.
- Manage multiple competing cross-organizational projects/programs simultaneously on a global scale.
- Track progress throughout a project (from definition to launch and beyond) with mindfulness toward dependencies and facilitate effective communication within and across teams.
- Maintain documentation and dashboards that allow for a quick and efficient understanding of resource capacity and project status.
- Meet regularly with cross-team business partners (Engineering/Product) to give/gather feedback on projects & drive performance forward.
- Responsible for road-mapping upcoming quarters.
- Design experience is a plus, having worked as PM for a consumer product, 3rd party consumer experience or design is highly desirable.
- Experience with web and or mobile app development experience.
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall.
- Ability to run sprints as needed.
- Having worked in UX/UI design and understanding it is highly desirable.
- Able to lead about 3 teams of various sizes.
- Typically has 8 or more years of progressively complex related experience.
- The ideal candidate has a strong process improvement background.
- Expert knowledge and experience with the software development life cycle; experience in streaming media software, broadcast technology, and/or media engineering preferred.
- Mastery in Agile or Waterfall Project Management methods that may include Scrum, Kanban, and/or Scaled Agile.
- Has a solid understanding of UX/UI designs, timelines, and creative solutions.
- Authenticity and excellent relationship-building and communication skills are a must.
- Experienced with working on projects with distributed teams, making use of technology and process to overcome the challenges of working with remote staff across multiple time zones.
- Experience managing large teams on complex high-profile projects and are viewed as the "go-to” individual.
- Strong experience with JIRA and Confluence including tool administration, customization of
issues/workflows/forms and attributes. - Airtable experience a nice to have.
- Comfortable in fast-changing environments, with loose guidelines, fluctuating demands, building and managing relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; proven ability to effectively get buy-in at all levels and across cross-functional teams.
- Experienced in planning for and effectively managing project risks.
- Build strong relationships throughout the company and earn the trust of team members.
- Excellent problem-solving & conflict resolution skills; thrives when working with complexity; Cool, calm, and collected under pressure.
- Strong listener and able to deeply understand the team's needs and ask the right questions.
- Required Education: BS or 14+ years of experience.
