Lead Technician-Installer Level 4 (Full-Time)
Job Summary
The Lead Technician will oversee multiple projects and crews and will maintain communication regarding the progress of each project (Ex: Checking in EJF to ensure the approval of JSAs and all other paperwork before work can be performed). The Lead Technician will be responsible for making sure all safety measures and protocols are followed and upheld to the highest degree. The Lead Technician must be able to read the provided drawings and follow the Spec for the installation. The Lead Technician will be expected to submit the following documents: MDR, MOPs, as well as ensure the approval of AOTS. The Lead Technician will also be expected to perform Self-Quality Checks before submitting any of the paperwork in EJF (and before submitting the JCR.)
Installer Level 4 responsibilities include
Qualifications-Skill sets required by a Level 4 Installer
A Skill Level 4 Installer shall be technically competent and must have successfully completed training in the Test and Turn-up procedures for a specific piece of equipment or procedure.

Installer Level 4 responsibilities include
- Circuit modifications
- Software adds or upgrades
- Power transition work 4. Addition or removal of batteries
- Addition or removal of circuits on working power distribution sources
- Equipment testing and turn-up
- Overseeing volatile work activities
- Job-site supervision of subcontractor work.
- Additions, modifications, or removals to Power Boards
- Analysis of job specifications and drawings
- Provide work assignments to crew
- Resolve job specification and/or drawing problems
Qualifications-Skill sets required by a Level 4 Installer
A Skill Level 4 Installer shall be technically competent and must have successfully completed training in the Test and Turn-up procedures for a specific piece of equipment or procedure.
Some of those skills are, but not limited to
- Have a minimum of 6 years experience or equivalent as determined by Stockton Telecom and demonstrated to AT&T in the equipment system/environment (e.g. common systems, switch, transport, power) being worked on
- Capable of performing the same work operations/job activities as a Level 3 installer without supervision or direction
- Capable of performing as the Installation Supplier's in-charge person on the job site
- Capable of performing additions, removals, wiring connections, and modifications on working equipment and circuits
- Capable of verifying and submitting the following documents:
- Job Start Agreements (JSA)
- Method of Procedure (MOP)
- Capable of performing “Self-Audit Checks” per job
- Successfully complete all required training prior to entering a CO
The Lead Technician may be expected to, and must be capable of performing the following
- Climb a ladder.
- Climb stairs (up and down)
- Physically lift up to 50 pounds (or more)
- Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
- Pull cable/wires.
- Ability to wear protective equipment/apparel.
- Operate safely on worksite.
