Job Description: Looking for a Toddler teacher for a progressive preschool in the Manhattan Beach area. Teachers must have experience working with children 18 to 30 months, and the ability to meet all children's needs. Toddler Teacher Qualifications:
- Toddler teachers must hold a Bachelor's Degree or qualify for the Child Development Teacher Permit; and have a minimum of 12 units in Early Childhood Education with 3 units of Infant/Toddler course. An advanced degree is preferred.
- Toddler teachers are responsible for planning and implementing learning experiences for children ages 18 months to 30 months, that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of children within a safe and healthy learning environment.
- They encourage the involvement of families and support the development of positive relationships between all members of the Piper community.
- Must be fluent in English.
Responsibilities:
- Toddler teachers must consistently participate in direct interaction with children, serve as faculty for professional development activities and community-based events, and be responsible for the items listed below and any others as assigned by members of the Administration.
- Lead teachers report to members of Administration and Administrative Support Staff (i.e. Division Coordinators, etc.), as directed throughout the policies of this job description.
Skills:
Organization, professionalism, reading skills, time management, planning, oral and written communication skills, interpersonal relationships, family/child relations, and computer skills.
