McGee Air Services is looking for experienced Lead Tow Agents that have at least 6+ months of recent aircraft towing/movement experience at the Seattle-Tacoma (SEA) International Airport.
Lead Agent - Towing Operations Earning Potential: $26.18-$29.18* per hour
*Wage Rate Inclusive of Reliability Pay Incentive
The Lead will direct the daily activities of the team, balance resources, and is responsible for supporting a team's ability to achieve mutually established goals. This role is responsible for providing support in safe and on-time movement of aircraft for the hanger, plots, gates and additional areas of the airport requiring movement of aircraft. The lead performs all station agent duties which at any given location, may include below-wing functions, towing functions or a combination of the two while mentoring and setting an example for team members.
Job Classification: The Towing Operation is a Specialty position within the Ramp Service classification that exists in designated locations allocated and authorized by McGee to perform work related to the movement of aircraft. A Tow Team Member must successfully complete the required training program, including annual recurrent training and testing, consisting of both McGee and Airport required training.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and maintain a culture of safety at all times
- Be aware of safety procedures, operational goals, and timelines to ensure all are followed without fail
- Responsible for Aircraft Tows and maintenance pushback
- Responsible for Movement of aircraft on taxiway with highspeed tug
- Coordinates movement of aircraft from remote locations to terminals, and from the terminals to remote parking areas
- Communicates with Operations Center and Aircraft Maintenance on all movements
- Support remotely parked aircraft with proper Ground Service Equipment (GSE), such as stairs, ground power units and air conditioning or heat carts
- Support the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU)shutdown team
- Constant communication with ramp tower and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)tower while operating on live taxiway
- Maintain and service all tow ground equipment
- Meet and exceed operational targets while maintaining service, timeline, safety, and compliance requirements
- Recognize and celebrate individual and team performance
- Ensure safe equipment operation, excellent housekeeping, cleanliness and organization in all work and operational areas
- Provide a comprehensive briefing and handoff to the next shift to ensure a seamless operation and overall benefit to the team and station
- Mentor station agents, both newly trained and experienced, in all station agent job functions
- Maintain curiosity, seek better ways to do things for ongoing improvement

Minimum Requirements:
- Self-motivated, with proven ability to lead and direct the work of others in a positive way

- Must be able to work well in a team environment and understand team objectives

- Ability to understand and interpret flight schedules and airline flight destination information
- Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance, customs seal, and/or USPS security clearance including background criminal history check, drug screen and fingerprinting required by specific work assignment
- Ability to obtain and maintain aircraft movement access seal on port issued SIDA badge at all times.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record as required by location
- Knowledge of operation of industrial equipment and previous experience preferred as required by location
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Physical Capabilities Testing:
This position requires significant physical agility, you will be required to complete a Physical Capabilities Test post offer that will demonstrate your ability to:
- Lift, carry, and place weighted standardized boxes, suitcases, or duffel bags from floor height to overhead.
- Climb steps carrying weighted standardized box, suitcase, or duffel bags.
- Sit and rotate to the left, right, and behind and visually identify a letter or number.
- Pull a weighted sled a standardized distance.
Qualifications:
- 6+ months recent experience in towing or aircraft movement (Recent in last year)
- Solid Safety Record
- 1+ years of ramp experience.
Lead Agent Earning Potential:
- Agent Starting Rate: $20.18
- Lead Differential: $6/Hour
- Reliability Bonus: $3/Hour (So as long as reliability qualifications are met.)
Lead Towing Agent Earning Range: $26.18-$29.18 per hour
