Job Description
This role supports the Project Director in delivering transportation planning, policy analysis and development, and traffic engineering services to the Illinois Tollway. As a valued member of this team you will;
-Oversee and conduct reviews of technical work.
-Lead and mentor a diverse, multidisciplinary team of planners, engineers, and data scientists under the guidance of the project director.
-Be responsible for all aspects of task management, including development of staffing plans; adherence to scope, schedule, and budget; and ongoing quality control and quality assurance.
-Assess and interpret technical assessment in areas such as travel demand modeling, interchange analysis, and corridor studies. This work may include spatial and statistical analyses of transportation systems performance, demographic trends, land use development, and interactions with the larger multimodal transportation system.
-Guide transportation policy research and analysis efforts. -Develop context-appropriate policy guidance for the client.
-Oversee the development of technical reports, presentations, and other written deliverables for technical and non-technical audiences. Present and discuss findings with the client.
-Support business development pursuits for transportation planning opportunities in the Midwest region.
Minimum Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community or Regional Planning, or related discipline.
-AICP, PTP, PE, CEP, or approved certification in a related field. Or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community, or Regional Planning or a related discipline.
-10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 9 years of experience with a Master's degree.
-Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
-Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
