At ThousandEyes, we have access to an unparalleled dataset gathered from some of the world's most extensive enterprise and public networks
This data provides us with an unmatched broad and deep internet-scale visibility
You will own research projects that leverage this data to design algorithms and solutions that provide data-driven insights into how applications, networks, CDNs, etc are performing across the internet. You will work closely with the product team to understand customers’ daily operational challenges and translate them into technical challenges
You will then lead your team of researchers in designing algorithms and building PoCs to solve these challenges
Finally, you will collaborate with engineering teams to productionize your research PoCs, delivering valuable solutions into the hands of our customers.In this role, you will directly impact product definition, planning, strategy, and implementationQualificationsEducation: PhD or MS in Computer ScienceExperience:5+ years of management experienceProven track record of managing research teams and leading projects from inception to productionDemonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and projectsEstablished portfolio of network measurement research projectsExpertise:Deep understanding of internet architecture (applications, CDNs, BGP, etc.)In-depth knowledge of Internet protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, TLS, DNS, BGP, HTTP, etc.)Proficiency in PythonProficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., tcpdump, ping, etc.)Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Hadoop)Experience with data science and MLOps tools (e.g., Spark, Flink)Experience in developing AI/ML solutions, preferably within networkingCommunication:Exceptional written, verbal, and persuasive communication skillsCisco values the perspectives and skills that emerge from employees with diverse backgrounds

For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%
Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target
Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
