Position Overview
Are you a dynamic and motivated professional with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service? Carlo Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic Leasing Consultant to join our Tuscany-inspired community in the vibrant heart of Northridge, Los Angeles. This 86-unit community offers a warm, inviting atmosphere and a range of modern amenities, including a swimming pool and fitness center. In this crucial role, you will ensure the smooth operation of our leasing activities, contribute to marketing efforts, and maintain high levels of resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
As a Leasing Consultant at Carlo Inc., your primary responsibilities will include:
• Leasing and Sales: Showcase available units, conduct open houses, assist with leasing activities, prepare and execute leases, and manage rent collection.
• Marketing and Outreach: Execute outreach marketing activities to attract prospective residents, advertise vacancies, and conduct market surveys as needed.
• Customer Service: Respond to telephone and in-person inquiries from prospects and residents, addressing and reporting requests, concerns, and comments.
• Property Management Support: Provide coverage during management staff absences, assist with property management tasks, rent collection, and manage outstanding dues and paperwork.
• Property Maintenance Coordination: Monitor work orders, maintain communication with maintenance staff, ensure the property is well-maintained, and stay informed on rental rates, floorplans, locations, and amenities.
• Resident Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and residents, and report any unusual circumstances regarding the property or residents.
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you should have:
• Experience: At least one year of experience in customer service or sales. Experience with serving notices, eviction processes, and rent collection is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Craigslist ads. Familiarity with Yardi is a plus.
• Professionalism: A professional appearance and a positive attitude, with strong leadership skills and a sense of humor highly valued.
• Legal Knowledge: An understanding of Fair Housing Laws is preferred but not mandatory.
• Availability: Must be available to work on weekends.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation is a must.
• Credit History: Excellent credit history is required.
