Position Overview
The Leasing Consultant is responsible for the leasing, marketing, and maintaining of positive resident relations of leased residential. This person works to achieve the sales and retention goals necessary for the community to see success. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interfacing with all leads, following up, discovery, touring, and ultimately converting those leads into residents of the Community. This person also follows procedures in lead tracking, keeps current records of all leads and prospects as required by the Community and meets predetermined monthly sales goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not exclusive or entirely inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
• Effectively sells Emerson to prospects by conducting appropriate discovery, building rapport, needs matching, and closing.
• Interacts with all leads whether gained through referrals, advertising, public relations, or personal contact, and works to turn those leads into depositors/residents of the Community through the use of professional selling skills.
• Successfully completes phone contact (have conversations), sends emails, and facilitates tours and appointments with prospective residents and their families.
• Provides Sales & Marketing reports as requested.
• Appropriately represents Emerson’s image by maintaining a high level of professionalism, and acts professionally and honestly at all times in the representation of the Community concept of senior living.
• Ensures that all inquiries are tracked, cultivated, and assisted through the sales process.
• Knowledge of lead tracking to keep accurate records on all leads and prospects.
• Conducts interviews, tours, and telephone calls related to the marketing process.
• Maintains the level of activity necessary to achieve the goals identified.
• Stays updated about relevant operational, competitive, and Community information in order to respond effectively to inquiries.
• Other duties as assigned.
Secondary Job Duties:
• Performs any other reasonable task assigned by the supervisor.
• Attends sales/marketing training, continuing education training, and in-service training as required.
• Maintains and protects the confidentiality of resident information at all times.
Qualifications:
• Experience interfacing with residents.
• Experience with and proficiency in and PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word; experience with lead tracking software preferred.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• A self-starter with proven ability to: organize time, follow-up, qualify/track a large number of relationships at one time.
• Experience and comfort speaking and presenting to groups and meeting with individuals.
• Able to perform job tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Team player with a positive attitude, able to work with community associates at all levels.
• Creative thinker with ability to sensitively discover needs and present solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with potential customers, influencers, residents, family, and general public.
• Pays close attention to detail.
• Is motivated and goal-oriented.
Required Experience:
• Minimum of two years’ experience in multifamily, healthcare, recruiting, community relations, and/or sales and marketing.
