Position: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Classification: Full-time, Hourly Employee

Salary: $17 - $32 (Commensurate on level of skill and experience)

Typical Schedule: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM; M-F

Lee County is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team! The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for a variety of general maintenance duties which include electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and construction in the maintenance and repair of County facilities and equipment; ensures the repair, cleanliness and safety of all county building and grounds; cross trained to perform all functions of custodian personnel when necessary.

On a day-to-day basis Technicians:

• Inspect the County facilities for deficiencies
• Completes Preventative Maintenance schedules
• Completes Work Requests in a timely manner

Our ideal candidate will:

• Possess a valid Illinois Driver's License (required)
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Have previous experience in construction or maintenance field
• Be reliable, hard-working, and self-motivated team player
• Have attention to detail
• Be able to work with minimal supervision
• Possess the ability to understand and follow directions given either verbally or in writing.
• Have good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to complete assignments within given time constraints.
