S 3 is currently seeking a Military Analyst to support on-going efforts at Fort Moore, GA.
Description:
Position supports the Maneuver Requirements Division of the Maneuver Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate at Ft Moore, GA. Provide JCIDS research and writing support to active and legacy projects that are defined as projects with approved JCIDS capability documents and generally between post Milestone A and post Milestone C in the DAS.
These projects can include, but are not limited to:
Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV), Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV), Abrams Tank, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Vehicles, Improved Forward Looking Infrared (I-FLIR), Stryker, Ground Mobility Vehicle (GMV), Mobile Protected Firepower (MPF), Vehicle Protection Suite (VPS), TOW-Improved Target Acquisition System (TOW ITAS), TOW-Close Combat Missile System Heavy, and ongoing large and medium caliber weapon and ammunition efforts. Reports to the Task Order Team Lead.
Qualifications:
- Possesses an in-depth knowledge of a particular area.
- Provides technical knowledge, advice, and/or analysis in their specialty, such as: highly specialized applications and operational environments.
- High-level functional system analysis, design, integration, documentation and implementation.
- Exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
- Applies principles, methods and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task order requirements, to resolve exceptionally difficult and/or narrowly defined technical problems, and arrive at automated, practical, or feasible solutions.
- Participates and advises in all phases of development, with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or eight years of Army maneuver experience in lieu of a degree.
Graduate of the following training courses:
- CLR 101 - Intro to JCIDS;
- ACQ 101 - Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management;
- RQM 110- Core Concepts for Requirements Management;
- TST 102 - Fundamentals of Test and Evaluation
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other operational software.
Secret security clearance.
