Position: Legal Administrative Assistant (National Law Firm)
Compensation Base salary to $68K plus Paid Overtime, Bonus; Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage; Paid Time Off; 401K; etc.
Location: Albany, NY - Downtown

Summary for Legal Administrative Assistant:
This person will be responsible for supporting a group of principals in various practice areas on a daily basis. In addition to excellent communications and a mastery of office skills, this role requires the ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision, take initiative and make decisions within the scope of assigned authority.
Responsibilities for Legal Administrative Assistant:
- Provide high-level administrative support to three partners and other attorneys as needed
- Prepare and proofread correspondence, memoranda, legal documents and forms
- Greet clients and visitors; respond to phone calls; transmit messages accurately and promptly
- Maintain calendars and schedule appointments, meetings and conference calls
- Act as a liaise with building management, Office Services, Records, Accounting, and IT department
- Operate and maintain office equipment; maintain supply inventory and replenish as needed
- Prepare check requests, expense reimbursement forms, and client/matter forms; handle petty cash
- Process incoming and outgoing paper mail, facsimile transmissions, and electronic mail
- Scan, profile, and retrieve documents across multiple platforms
- Maintain organized and updated client files and matter lists
- Assume additional responsibilities as required to meet needs of Firm
Required Skills for Legal Administrative Assistant:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3 years of administrative experience required
- Excellent oral and written communications
- Ability to type 60 words per minute
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of traditional and digital types of dictation
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate work
- Ability to think critically and analytically in a pressured environment
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to effectively multi-task, meet deadlines and excel in a team atmosphere
- Familiarity with Hummingbird document management system or similar system
