We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal Contracts and Billing Administrator to join our legal team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and enjoys using their problem-solving skills to improve business operations. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance, new business intake, and matters related to legal contracts and billing.
Responsibilities:
1. Set up new clients, ensuring accurate project setup and adherence to billing protocols.
2. Apply client billing guidelines and manage invoicing requirements, including e-billing and tax specifications.
3. Collaborate with various departments to streamline the new business intake process.
4. Develop and implement effective billing strategies to maximize revenue and minimize errors.
5. Conduct regular audits of legal contracts and billing processes to identify areas of improvement.
6. Provide advice on complex contractual matters and disputes.
7. Collaborate with the legal team to develop and implement policies and procedures related to contract management and billing.
8. Train and mentor staff on best practices for contract management and billing.
9. Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract and billing-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in legal contract management and billing, preferably for a law firm.
3. Proven experience in compliance, new business intake, and matters related to contracts and billing.
4. Strong knowledge of contract law and billing practices in the legal industry.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
8. Proficient in using contract management and billing software.
9. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
