Legal Advisor - Drake

About the Job
We are seeking a Legal Advisor to identify, prevent, and resolve various legal issues, and to create, review, and advise on contracts, both internal and external.
Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Review, negotiate, draft, and revise a variety of commercial contracts with vendors and suppliers, including service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and procurement agreements. Additionally, manage real property transactions, such as leases.
- Legal Documentation: Advise on, assist with, and develop templates for legal documents, including agreements, amendments, employee handbooks, and client outreach documents (e.g., disclosures, disclaimers).
- Personnel Collaboration: Work closely with the Human Resources department to review records, train staff, and advise management on legal procedures and best practices.
- Legal Support: Organize and direct legal support in specified areas under the guidance of senior corporate attorneys.
- Communication: Liaise with team members and vendors regarding contract status, process-related inquiries, and feedback from both internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate law.
- Experience in the construction or cement industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with public procurement and government contracting practices is advantageous.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Significant experience in contract work and understanding of legal concepts.
- Ability to draft contracts of basic to medium complexity.
- Critical knowledge and experience in the preparation, negotiation, drafting, and administration of contracts in commercial or government settings.
- Strong attention to detail.
