About the Job
Hiring hub is recruiting for an experienced Legal assistant to for a long-term contract assignment. We are looking for a self-motivated Legal Assistant to ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management. You will provide a broad spectrum of legal services under the supervision of an attorney.
Responsibilities
Provide Excellent Customer/Client Service; Greet clients and visitors with a professional demeanor, make them feel comfortable and welcome
Acute firm service knowledge: demonstrate knowledge of the areas of law practiced by the firm and the ability answer questions
Answer and direct phone calls using multi-line phone systems
Schedule appointments and manage attorney calendars
Transcribe legal documents and correspondence
Maintain office organization and manage office supplies
Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry
Coordinate projects and support attorneys with administrative tasks
Requirements and skills
- Minimum of one-year previous experience as Legal Assistant or paralegal
- Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system
- Knowledge E-file
- Working knowledge of case management software
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure.
