Legal Assistant - Land Use and Zoning - Gammage & Burnham

Gammage & Burnham, a well-established Arizona law firm, has an excellent opportunity for a Legal Assistant. Our highly regarded Land Use and Zoning practice groups require a strong candidate who possesses excellent communication skills, can work both on a team and independently, be able to multi-task, and be a self-starter but coachable. The right candidate must be both dynamic and dependable and be willing to work in the office 4-5 days per week.
Primary Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Managing electronic files.
- Calendaring dates, tasks, and deadlines.
- Scheduling appointments.
- Document editing, red lining, and proof reading.
- Case management.
- Assist with attorney billing.
- Assist with expense reports and check requests.
- Coordination and facilitation of travel plans.
- Handling of incoming, outgoing mail as needed.
- Electronic and face-to-face communications.
- Special projects, as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience editing PDF documents.
- Ability to develop, implement and maintain systems to promote organization and efficiency.
- Ability to adapt to fluctuations in workload and changes in responsibilities.
- Demonstrates strategic thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Punctual and dependable.
- Attention to detail.
