Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with attorneys to manage and maintain case files
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Draft and review correspondence
- Manage case calendars and deadlines, including scheduling appointments, depositions, and mediations
- Assist with document production and discovery requests
- Prepare and file documents with the courts
- Organize and maintain case files, including electronic and physical files
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation and exhibit organization
- Other duties as assigned by attorneys or management
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, e-filing, calendaring appointments, scheduling depositions/mediations, drafting and reviewing documents, legal research, and case management
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases
- Knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
- Experience with case management software a plus
