Legal Assistant duties may include:

The position of Legal Assistant is essential to the daily operation and professional management of our Clients daily activities, responsibilities, and duties include the following:

Performing work in a kind and courteous manner, maintaining a professional appearance, and enjoying the satisfying work of helping others in family law issues (divorce, custody, etc.)

Phone duty

Scheduling (clients, court dates using Clio legal software)

Contacting current clients via email (Gmail) and phone

Building the business - contacting potential clients for consultations via email and phone

Maintaining electronic files of client matters

Scanning documents electronically

File re-naming

Maintaining electronic and hard copy client files

Emailing clocked copies to client and cc: Attorney

Maintaining hard copies of client files

Greeting clients (seating, coffee/water)

Accepting payments (Law Pay software)

Preparing documents for filing (original, service copy, clocked copy)

Outgoing mailings and P.O. Box for incoming mail

Billing time for all client-related matters
