Legal Billing Specialist - HumanHire

HumanHire is partnered with a top ranked national Law Firm to find a Billing Coordinator to join the firms growing team.

The Billing Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating the billing processes for the firm, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams.

• Location: Detroit (Flexible Hybrid Schedule)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process client invoices in accordance with firm policies and client billing guidelines.
• Review and verify billing entries, timekeeper rates, and expense allocations for accuracy.
• Generate and distribute monthly or periodic client statements and follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Serve as the primary contact for billing inquiries from clients and attorneys.
• Address and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and adjustments promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate and organized billing records, including invoices, payments, and adjustments.
• Assist with generating billing reports and financial summaries for internal and external use.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of Law Firm billing experience
• Proficiency in Legal Billing software (i.e. Aderant or Elite)
