3+ years of Legal Assistant work required
3+ years of recent / Civil Litigation Support required

DUTIES:
Boutique law firm seeking a legal assistant to manage office, organize and update files, handle filings, manage billings, and coordinate with vendors and suppliers, and support attorneys and paralegals.
Office management duties include:
Open mail daily, scan, process and file into appropriate pleadings, and update pleadings index.
Process payments received, update billing system, and prepare deposit slips.
Receive and process invoices to payments due to vendors, prepare report for outgoing payments, update client expense to file.
Maintain pleadings index and create binders for hearings and trials including evidence binders.
Maintain on-site office, including maintaining and ordering supplies, coordinating deliveries, and receive visitors and/or clients.
Answer telephone calls as needed.
Review, process, and create outgoing invoices, enter time and expense onto client billing portals, update accounts receivable upon payment, and organize and maintain billing and payment records.
Coordinate and arrange for paper filings as necessary, as well as mailing service copies. Draft transmittal letters.
Coordinate with process server for arranging service.
Maintain onsite storage, including preparing files for storage, indexing and organize storage lists.
Maintain and calendar deadlines, including tracking litigation milestones.
Create base pleadings from prior forms, to be customized to particular case.
Coordinate third-party printing services.
Draft base outgoing discovery.
Draft initial objections to incoming discovery.
Coordinate receipt of documents from client and other parties.
Organize and index documents. Search and identify responsive documents. Prepare responsive discovery and privilege logs.
Draft base pleadings and motions.
Updating litigation deadlines and calendar milestones.
Coordinate and arrange for court reporter.
