Abramson Labor Group is seeking a highly motivated, well-qualified Legal Receptionist to join our team in Burbank, CA.
This role provides essential administrative and clerical support to the legal office, assisting attorneys, paralegals, and other legal staff with day-to-day tasks; as well as managing incoming and outgoing communications, filing documents, maintaining records, coordinating events and helping ensure the smooth operation of the legal office. This position will report directly to the Workers’ Compensation Operations Manager.
This role provides essential administrative and clerical support to the legal office, assisting attorneys, paralegals, and other legal staff with day-to-day tasks; as well as managing incoming and outgoing communications, filing documents, maintaining records, coordinating events and helping ensure the smooth operation of the legal office. This position will report directly to the Workers’ Compensation Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Essential functions of the role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform general clerical duties including answering phones, managing emails, and greeting clients.
- Assist in preparing and filing legal documents, correspondence, and other communications.
- Maintain and update physical and electronic legal files, ensuring organization and confidentiality.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and any events that the office may require.
- Conduct data entry and maintain office calendars, tracking important dates and deadlines.
- Assist in the intake and distribution of incoming mail and legal documents.
- Organize office supplies, handle photocopying, scanning, and general office tasks.
- Provide general administrative support as requested by legal staff.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- High school diploma or equivalent (coursework in legal studies preferred).
- Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) is required.
- At least 1 year of experience in an office environment, preferably in a legal setting.
- Familiarity with basic legal terminology and office procedures is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
