About the Job
The Legal Recruiting Assistant serves as a key point of contact for attorneys and law students. This role involves coordinating various aspects of the recruiting process, including scheduling interviews, organizing events, and managing administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Acts as a point of contact for attorneys, summer associates and law students via phone, email and in-person.
- Schedules screening and callback interviews for summer associate candidates.
- Schedules post-offer meetings, receptions, lunches and dinners for summer associate candidates.
- Drafts and sends offer letters for summer associate and entry-level associate candidates.
- Assists in summer associate event coordination which includes, sending invitations, tracking RSVPs, creating and organizing nametags, communicating with vendors, etc.
- Assists with summer associate orientation preparations which includes, booking conference rooms, organizing summer associate folders, assembling "swag" bags, etc.
- Pulls reports in LawCruit relevant to the summer associate program and law student recruiting process.
- Schedules and helps prepare for Hiring Committee and Summer Committee meetings.
- Assists with expense reimbursements for Legal Recruiting team members and summer associate candidates.
- Tracks and manages inventory of marketing materials for the Chicago office and orders supplies as needed.
- Performs clerical functions such as preparing and organizing files and binders and other administrative duties.
- Ability to work overtime during busy periods and attend summer and fall events, when necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
Required:
- Associate’s degree
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Law firm experience
- Experience working with HR databases
