LEGAL SECRETARY- LITIGATION

Connect Staffing seeks experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant candidates with experience in litigation for a contract opportunity with a North Atlanta law firm. Candidates must have 3+ years of legal administrative experience within a litigation group or department.

This is an ongoing contract opportunity with full-time work hours. This position requires onsite work. 

Duties:

• Providing legal and administrative support to attorneys and paralegals
• Scheduling and organizing activities such as meetings, travel, and conferences for attorneys
• Maintaining and updating attorneys’ case files
• Preparing monthly client billing for transmittal to clients (including review for edits/corrections)
• Preparing reimbursement and marketing expense reports; tracking reimbursements for receipt of payment in Chrome River
• Maintaining personal correspondence, reading files, billing letters, expense reports, time entry files
• Open new client/matter files per Firm procedures
• Performs any other duties that may be assigned with regard to this position and general secretarial work
• Working with the following software:
  • Word: proficient with Styles, Table of Authorities and Table of Contents
  • PDF Nuance - converting documents from PDF to Word and bookmarking
  • PowerPoint
  • Excel (light)
  • iManage or an understanding of a document management system
  • WorkShare or an understanding of redline vs. tracked change
