Summary
Perform diagnostic CT and radiologic quality imaging under the direction of a physician using
professional judgement while maintaining proper technical and radiation quality standards. Provides
courteous and professional delivery of imaging procedures while adhering to radiation safety
precautions to promote patient satisfaction. Supports patient questions and concerns regarding exam
procedures and process, while maintaining appropriate confidentiality regarding PHI and HIPPA related
information.
Job Duties
● Performs all types of imaging procedures & operates all equipment safely and properly including
imaging equipment, injectors, & monitors.
● Reviews images of all exams, repeating as necessary to providing radiation protection in
accordance with safety standards for best possible results.
● Communicates with the patient by addressing the patient by name, introducing self to the
patient, explaining the exam in lay terms and keeping the patient Informed of exam progress.
● Ensures appropriate exam is ordered and images are delivered to the correct patient folder in
PACS.
● Document LMP, fluoro time, number of images, appropriate history and any adverse reaction to
contrast media or change in patient's condition.
● Prepares patients for imaging procedures by reviewing patient chart/script to verify pertinent
information, assess patient’s needs, medical history, and provides patient education.
● Attends department meetings or other mandatory meetings, assist with education and training
of new employees, students and other ancillary personnel with a positive attitude.
● Ensures coordination of daily work duties with the team and coordinates timing of exams.
● Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize
productivity while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the immediate work area.
Minimum Qualifications
● Technical School Diploma Graduate of accredited Radiography program or equivalent and
● RT(CT) Certified
● 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist and
● 1 year experience as a CT technologist
● Ability to provide proper patient care essential to radiologic procedures.
● Knowledge and skills to perform all imaging exams on patients of all ages, adapting to various
protocols.
● Proficient use of the advanced software for CT scanning and post procedure processing
applications.
● Strong aptitude for CT technology.
● Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and upbeat demeanor.
● American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days

Summary
Performs comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders under the general supervision of
the medical director of the sleep center and/or sleep center manager, or designee. Provides diagnostic
and therapeutic services/interventions, comprehensive patient care, and patient education based on
diagnosis from the referring provider. Assists patients with walking and re-positioning during the study
evaluation.
Job Duties
● Performs sleep study preparation and set-up procedures per departmental protocols including
but not limited to: reviews the patient's history and verifies the medical order; explains testing
procedure to the patient/caregiver; prepares and calibrates testing equipment to determine
proper functioning and makes adjustments, if necessary; and applies electrodes and sensors
according to accepted standards.
● Performs polysomnographic procedures following department protocols to ensure collection of
appropriate data; maintains continuous visual and auditory monitoring of patient and clinical
events on the recording.
● Implements appropriate interventions necessary for the safety of the patients such as positive
airway pressures and oxygen administration, etc.
● Educates and trains patients on the use of home sleep testing (HST) equipment; performs
portable monitoring equipment preparation and data download. Identifies artifact, inadequate
signals, and study failures. Generates an accurate final report.
● Documents routine observations including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in
procedure, and other clinical events in order to facilitate scoring and interpretation of
polysomnographic results. Completes and submits all documentation based on
policies/standards and regulatory requirements.
● Performs polysomnographic record scoring and reporting per departmental protocols and
adheres to AASM scoring parameters. Generates accurate final report for physician review
reflecting all aspects of the polysomnographic record.
● Performs post-testing procedures including proper cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of
equipment. Adheres to hospital and department policies/procedures including safety and
infection control related to sleep department practice/operations/environment.
● Provides cost effective care in accordance with department billing guidelines.
● Participates in all aspects of performance improvement and quality assurance measures within
the department. Evaluates the effectiveness of sleep test/interventions against expected
outcomes based on current evidence.
● Provides supervision in accordance with regulatory requirements, as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
● High School Diploma/GED
● 1 year Successful completion of college level math and science coursework.
● Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in
the treatment, assessment, and education of infant/pediatric and/or adolescent, adult, and
geriatric patients.
● Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to perform sleep equipment hook-up and monitoring.
● Demonstrates knowledge of procedures and equipment routinely used in sleep testing.
● Must be able to provide safe, compassionate, and competent sleep testing procedures.
● Demonstrates computer skills appropriate for the position.
● Demonstrates knowledge of and complies with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and
