Our Client is seeking a Special Education Teacher in the Arlington, VA area.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
*Develop and implement individualized Education Plan based on results of psychoeducational and other assessments, including implementing strategies developed by speech, occupational, physical therapist, or other IEP mandated service providers
*Develop lesson plans on a weekly and monthly basis for each student based on their IEP goals/objectives and in keeping with state requirements
*Administer Standards of Learning and other diagnostic testing as appropriate for level of training and student need
*Conduct alternate assessments for students requiring them
*Coordinate and attend IEP and IDT meetings, meetings with other professionals as appropriate and or required
*Write quarterly progress reports which include graphs for each student's progress
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree in Special education
* Master's Degree preferred
* Licensed and Certified in Special Education preferred
* Ability to amiably work with colleagues, students, and their families
