Job Summary:
A Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC) specializes in providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for individuals struggling with substance use disorders and behavioral addictions. The LCAC employs a variety of therapeutic techniques to help clients overcome addiction, develop healthy coping strategies, and achieve long-term recovery.

Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the nature and extent of clients' substance use and addiction issues. Diagnose substance use disorders using standardized criteria and tools. Develop personalized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.

Address emergency situations involving clients in crisis due to substance use or addiction-related issues. Provide immediate support and intervention to ensure client safety and stability. Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to coordinate crisis care.

Case Management:
Coordinate services and resources for clients, including medical, psychiatric, and social services. Advocate for
clients to ensure they receive appropriate care and support. Monitor and evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Educate clients and their families about substance use disorders, treatment options, and recovery strategies. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessment reports, treatment plans, and progress notes. Prepare and submit required documentation and reports in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards in documentation and practice.
Qualifications:

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid LCAC license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervised clinical experience in addiction counseling.
- Strong knowledge of addiction treatment modalities and evidence-based practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
