About the Position
The Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations is seeking a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) to provide clinical therapeutic support, supervision of behavioral health professionals for the outpatient Family and Wellness Health Clinic and clinical consultation for the tribal Youth Residential Treatment Center patients.
The LCP provides leadership and support for an integrated, patient centered, multi-disciplinary health team of dedicated professionals whose primary mission is to provide care at the highest-level standards. The Licensed Clinical Psychologist is responsible for the operations, vision, direction and supervision for the outpatient family and wellness clinic behavioral health unit including licensed mental health and substance use disorder providers, and consultation with the adolescent inpatient treatment program. The LCP provides oversight for legal and clinical aspects for the mental health and substance abuse health care delivered at the departments. It is the LCP responsibility to consult with other healthcare providers, provide training, mentoring and to be directly involved with the evaluation and treatment of clinically complex patient care problems (outpatient/SUD inpatient). The LCP will see patients clinically and be responsible for overall leadership and management of the outpatient mental health and outpatient substance abuse programs.
GENERAL JOB DUTIES:
1. Provide consultation services for behavioral health professionals and program staff, while maintaining consistency with the protocols established in operating an adolescent and family comprehensive behavioral health program.
2. Continually assess staff treatment plans, service delivery and referrals to advanced behavioral or inpatient treatment resources.
3. Conduct assessment of patients exercising professional judgement in evaluating level of care, diagnosis, treatment plans, and DSM diagnosis based upon information obtained.
4. Provide appropriate therapeutic intervention using a variety of counseling techniques and modalities including individual, collateral, group and/or family therapy.
5. Participate in the Inpatient Admissions team meetings to review applications and assist in identifying those applicants who meet clinical ASAM 3.5 criteria level for admissions and outpatient clinical services, as needed.
6. Ensure routine audit outpatient mental health patient records for appropriate measurable individual service plans that are fluid and updated and congruent with DSM criteria.
7. Implement and maintain fidelity with policies and procedures of the treatment milieu to ensure compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA (45 CFR), CARF and Joint Commission Accreditation standards.
8. Provide updates on Beh Health treatment modalities or changes in regulations that may affect the operations of the behavioral health clinical programs and delivery of services.
9. Provides staff training on various treatment models to improve and advance knowledge and technical skills.
10. Collaborate with the Behavioral Health Department Director to ensure the highest standard of fidelity in referral of care and aftercare treatment planning and delivery of services.
11. Ensure FWHC behavioral health team provides written documentation and case notes necessary and in accordance with agency and industry guidelines, as appropriate in in meeting medical necessity, Medicaid, MCO and other federal / state agency and industry standards.
12. Work collaboratively with the FWHC Appointment Scheduler in managing and maintaining clinical team appointment scheduling to ensure maximization utilization of counseling services to include day/evening AA groups.
13. Work to ensure the behavioral unit staff practice positive employment engagement and communication.
14. Create a positive exchange and engagement with employees by promoting involvement, enthusiasm in their work and in the workplace. Be proactive in handling workplace gossip by reducing negativity that leads to a toxic work environment
15. Work closely with the HL7N Executive Director, Family Wellness Health Department Director, Behavioral Health Director and Medical Director providing professional and clinical consultation and guidance in the operations of behavioral health services.
16. Work closely with the Healing Lodge medical billing office to ensure clinical service charges are processed accurately, in a timely manner, and in compliance with the CMS medical necessity standards.
17. Report to Family & Wellness Center Health Director and Clinical Supervisors on any Clinical Note discrepancies and/or Medical Billing errors to ensure corrections are made in a timely manner.
18. Must comply with State, Federal, Indian Health Services, CARF and JCI accreditation requirements.
19. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position provides direct technical consultant and guidance to mental health therapists & associates, aftercare LMHT, substance use professionals and MD Psychiatrist student Residents to include allowing the mental health therapist associates to bill under the Clinical Psychologist license/NPI.
Education, Certification and License:
1. Possess a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology or Psychology from an accredited university.
2. Possess a full unrestricted License as a Clinical Psychologist or Psychologist in the State of WA or other State. If License is not from State of WA candidate must be willing to obtain a State of WA license or within two months from the start of employment.
Work Experience:
1. Possess seven-years’ work experience in clinical and administrative work wither either inpatient or outpatient treatment of mental health services serving adolescents and families.
2. Possess three (3) years of progressive responsibility in behavioral health and/or health care administration including demonstrated success with staff selection and development, and budget development and management.
3. Possess two years’ experience working in a multidisciplinary leadership group.
4. Experience providing an evidence-based and best practice Trauma-Focused Therapy (EMDR, CPT, PE), preferred.
5. Possess knowledge of Native Americans populations and communities historical and intergenerational Trauma and related treatment modalities including traditions and culture, preferred.
6. Prior experience in working with patients struggling with substance abuse, preferred.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.

Travel
The candidate will be required to travel to various in/out of State locations to provide MH clinical supervision and guidance, assist in coordination of care and resource development and to meet with various agencies/tribes, etc. Some extended hours and overnight stay are projected and anticipated.
