Summary :
- The purpose of this clinical position is to conduct consultations to individuals experiencing a variety of emotional, mental, or behavioral disturbances upon request from a medical professional in the acute care clinics of the YKDRH. The clinician will provide brief evaluations to reduce the impact of symptoms and/or coordinate a referral to other appropriate service providers within 3 contacts.
Requirements And Responsibilities :
- LCSW or license eligibility for LMHC required. LICSW or LMHC with prior experience working within an inpatient behavioral health or acute care settings preferred.
- Graduate degree required
- Prior experience working within an inpatient behavioral health setting, short-term treatment and/or acute care preferred.
- Advanced level knowledge and experience in the application of clinical behavioral health treatment and family system modalities for patients wit psychiatric illnesses, as well as risk and safety assessment
- Sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Health Record required; experience with Electronic Health Record, including Medsphere/Vista preferred.
- Possess advanced level knowledge and experience in the application of clinical behavioral health treatment and family system modalities for patients with psychiatric illnesses.
- Possess an understanding of appropriate community supports and systems available to patients after discharge.
- Demonstrate competency and possess the knowledge base, skill and ability to work in an acute inpatient setting.
Certifications :
- Must have basic computer knowledge, and standard office equipment usage skills.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in clinical assessment skills.
- 26 week contracts preferred; will consider 13 weeks for the right candidate/skill set
- Experience in a cross-cultural setting, preferably with Native American cultures
- License Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), preferred
- Will accept with out of state license for start, but must apply for licensure and show proof of application prior to start date.
