Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Outpatient Oncology - Ascension

We Are Hiring:

• Department: Outpatient Oncology
• Schedule: Full Time Days 
• Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent
• Location: Indianapolis, IN

Our Social Worker position will manage SS/Disability, Medicare-Medicaid Questions. Assist with insurance and financial needs; Manage grants and obtaining future grants; potentially be involved in some outreach opportunities. Assist with resourcing for anxiety, depression etc., as well as social and emotional needs that arise from a cancer diagnosis. 

What You Will Do:

Apply specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in the areas of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional, behavioral and developmental disorders, conditions and addictions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and interpret tests and measures of psychosocial functioning for the purpose of diagnosing mental, emotional, behavioral, addictive and developmental disorders and disabilities.
• Develop and implement appropriate assessment-based treatment plans.
• Consult with team managers, statutory and voluntary agencies and patient's relatives to ensure compliance with the patient's treatment plan.
• Provide crisis-oriented psychotherapy as well as short-term and long-term psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic treatment.
• Document patient therapy in accordance with both federal and state regulations

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

 

• Licensed Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Master's degree in Social Work required.

Work Experience:

• 3 years of experience preferred.

Additional Preferences:

Three years of experience preferred.
