Job Function:
The principal actor in the delivery of services in the substance abuse program, reporting directly to the Clinical Program Director. Duties and responsibilities shall include the following:
Essential Functions:
- Provides counseling activities with direction from the Clinical Program Director.
- Delivers alcohol and drug abuse treatment services with the Clinical Program Director.
- Completes duties in a professional and timely manner.
- Reports all alleged incidents of abuse or neglect to DSHS as set forth by §448.
- Ensures that all records are accurate and timely.
- Ensures that all records are available for DSHS audit.
- Performs clinical assessments of clients, which includes gathering social histories and other required treatment documentation.
- Provides information and referral services.
- Coordinates with the Clinical Program Director to insure consistency of treatment.
- Conducts intakes and screenings on potential clients.
- Develops client treatment plans with clients and treatment team.
- Writes discharge summaries and creates discharge plans with clients and treatment team.
- Facilitates groups and lectures for clients.
- Responsible for client case management issues as they may relate to delivery of substance abuse treatment.
- Responsible for all needed collateral communication to payers, families, and referents as permitted by confidentiality laws and consents for release of information on file for client.
- Is responsible for general documentation of client records on caseload.
- Attends staff meetings as scheduled and as needed.
- Is a contributing member of the treatment team.
- Maintains client confidentiality.
- Protects client's rights.
- Reports to Clinical Program Director.

Qualifications:
- Shall have State licensure or certification in Texas (e.g. LCDC, LPC LMSW, Etc.);
- Shall have a minimum of 2 years' experience in substance abuse counseling and/or mental health treatment.
Compensation details: 50000-65000 Yearly Salary
