Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative
Office location – Altoona, PA
A local Independent Insurance Agency is seeking an outgoing, client focused, professional, and dependable Customer Service Representative who is licensed in property and casualty insurance.
General Responsibilities:
Inbound and outbound calls to and from current and prospective insurance customers and insurance companies
No Cold Calling or Soliciting business is required
Assist customers with the insurance quotations and applications
Customize insurance packages to suit individual customers’ needs and requirements
Explain features, advantages, and disadvantages of various policies to customers
Process paperwork via written and electronic communications
Accept and process payments from over the phone and walk-in clients
Enter data and use agency management system
General office duties as needed
Qualifications:
Active Property & Casualty license required or if studying for this license test, must have ability to take the test in next few weeks
Strong computer knowledge and accurate typing skills
Previous customer service experience preferable in the insurance industry
Must be enthusiastic, outgoing, and self- motivated
Professional dress and appearance required
Strong ability to communicate clearly and persuasively via written and verbal communications
Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines
High School diploma or GED required
Schedule and Compensation Overview:
• Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
• Salaried position – pay based on experience
• Paid time off and holiday pay
