About the Job
MMP Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide clinical services both in-office and home-based to consumers of all ages, using client-centered and family-centered approaches with goal-specific interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Services: Conduct individual, family, couples, and group therapy sessions to enhance consumer's optimal functioning and interactions within their home and community.
- Client Interaction: Meet with assigned consumers weekly or as needed, tailoring therapy to meet each consumer's unique needs.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with consumers, guardians, and other service providers to complete Individual Treatment Plans, surveys, and assessments within required time frames.
- Documentation: Accurately document all services provided, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, and submit these in accordance with agency policies.
- Supervision & Training: Participate in individual and group clinical supervision and attend all mandatory meetings and trainings.
- Communication: Coordinate with the Administrative Services Organization (ASO) for service authorizations and document communication with other agencies and professionals involved in consumer care.
- Assessment & Compliance: Continually assess consumer needs, service availability, and the appropriateness of services provided. Comply with court orders and subpoenas, providing updates on consumer progress as required.
- Diagnostic Assessments: For clinically licensed therapists, complete comprehensive diagnostic assessments as assigned.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as needed to support consumer progress, ensure program compliance, and adhere to MMP Staffing's policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited university or college in Social Work, Special Education, Counseling, or a related field.
- Licensure: State licensure for the associated discipline.
- Technical Skills: Active email account, internet access, and computer literacy.
- Experience: At least one year of behavioral health experience working with children is preferred.

- Screening & Assessment: Conduct both brief and comprehensive screenings and assessments, arranging for more detailed evaluations as needed.
- Care Planning & Coordination: Develop and implement treatment or rehabilitation plans, coordinating with all stakeholders.
- Intervention: Provide focused treatment and recovery services, including motivational and crisis interventions.
- Cultural Competence & Adaptation: Deliver culturally relevant services to consumers and their families.
- Systems Oriented Practice: Operate effectively within MMP Staffing and the Maryland Public Mental Health System.
- Practice-Based Learning & Quality Improvement: Continuously assess and improve service delivery.
- Informatics: Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) and other information technologies to enhance service delivery.
