JOB SUMMARY
Our Licensed Massage Therapist works collaboratively with the Aesthetic Center team to provide massage therapy services for our medical aesthetic center. It is the responsibility of the therapist to establish individualized massage therapy services to best meet patient needs. Work closely with complementary therapy staff, and advocate for additional therapies services through continuing education.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide 30-60-90-minute massages, consecutively
- Provide chair massages, scheduled by the minute, up to 20 minutes
- Talk with clients about their symptoms, medical history, and desired results
- Evaluate clients to locate painful or tense areas of the body
- Manipulate muscles and other soft tissues of the body
- Provide clients with guidance on stretching, strengthening, overall relaxation, and how to improve their posture
- Suggest future appointments and regime
- Document clients' conditions and progress in chart, with detailed history
- Maintain equipment and inventory of products/supply
- Keep a clean and stocked room
- Assists patients with any concerns, directing them in the area needed
- Assists with Aesthetic supply orders and inventory for specific services
- Assists with management of social media and collaborates in some marketing concepts.
- Converts call/inquiries into appointments
- Suggest and promote retail products or additional services
- Maintains OSHA and HIPAA compliance.
- May perform other incidental tasks, as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Current Licensed Massage Therapist from North Carolina, with completed course work
- Hands-on experience outside of school preferred, but not required

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
