WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Licensed Mental Health Provider provides a variety of outpatient psychiatric treatment services to persons with a broad range of psychiatric disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual, couple, marital and family psychotherapy according to the needs of the client.
- Develop a complete psychosocial assessment and provide a DSM-V/ICD 10 diagnosis for each client.
- Develop a comprehensive treatment plan for each client and revise the treatment plan at periodic intervals as required by NYS Office of Mental Health regulations.
- Maintain written documentation of all client contacts or consultations, including a progress note for each session.
- Complete required reporting forms.
- Satisfy departmental productivity standards.
- Make client referrals to Agency psychiatrists/PNP and coordinate and monitor treatment recommended by the psychiatrists/PNP.
- Collaborate with clients' existing supports, both personal and professional, while providing referral and linkage to additional community resources as needed.
- Facilitate informational and/or educational workshops as requested by community organizations.
- Conduct client intake interviews for diagnostic and evaluative purposes.
- Provide clinical supervision, if requested.
- Provide supervision for graduate student interns, if requested.
- Submit necessary documentation for third party insurance reimbursement, where qualified.
- Participate in Agency/departmental staff meetings and professional development programs.
- Participate in work groups and/or task groups.
- Provide coverage for other staff members, as needed.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Master's Degree from a recognized Graduate School of Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
- NYS Certification as follows LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R
- Demonstrates knowledge upon which direct service and clinical advisement is based.
- Knowledge and experience with evidence-based practices including trauma informed care framework desirable.
- Ability to work effectively with people of diverse cultures, ages and economic backgrounds in a culturally responsive and sensitive manner.
- Experience working with clients that are affected by behavioral health issues.
- Ability to develop a treatment plan and maintain documented notes in accordance with procedure and regulations.
- Possess strong verbal communication skills required to effectively interact with a broad range of individuals.
- Excellent written communications skills required to maintain quality documentation.
- Computer proficiency and ability to effectively utilize medical record systems.
This position requires travel between sites and therefore, you must have a reliable vehicle, valid New York State driver's license, and auto liability insurance in the amount of $100,000/$300,000. Also, if hired, you must produce evidence of having received the Covid-19 vaccination.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive salary range of $49,000 to $62,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The above pay range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, background, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
