Licensed Mental Health Therapist - Gpac

Therapist Job Description:

We are currently seeking dedicated and qualified therapists to join our team, with both full-time and part-time positions available. Full-time therapists typically handle 20-30 sessions per week, while part-time therapists handle 10-20 sessions per week. Rates for temporary licensed providers start at $35 for 45-minute sessions and $50 for assessments, with potential increases based on license status, credentials, and experience. Salary negotiations are conducted during the interview process and may vary for exceptional applicants seeking full-time employment.

Job Duties:

• Provide ongoing therapy to individuals, couples, or families in various settings such as our office locations, in-home (CMHW), school-based, or via teletherapy.
• Conduct initial assessments of new clients to gather diagnostic information, set goals, develop treatment plans, and introduce clients to our services.
• Offer clinical supervision to Behavioral Health Counselors on an as-needed basis.
• Establish rapport and maintain professional relationships with clients and collateral contacts like schools, doctors, and DHS.
• Complete assessment and social histories, psychotherapy notes, treatment plans, and discharge reports accurately and promptly.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and quarterly clinical meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualified Candidates:

• Must be licensed in the state of Iowa: LMHC/LMHC, LMFT/LMFT, or LMSW/LISW. Temporary licenses are accepted and encouraged.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills are essential.
• Possess a strong sense of ethics, professionalism, and represent Life Connections positively in the community.
• Proficient in completing assessment and social histories, psychotherapy notes, treatment plans, and discharge reports.
• Basic computer skills including Google Drive, Gmail, Electronic Health Record (EHR) Systems, electronic calendars, scanning, and document uploading.
• Self-starter with reliability and accountability.

• Full-time therapists receive $500 annually for continuing education, training, and supplies.
