Licensed Pharmacy Technician - Full Time
CLASSIFICATION/STATUS: Non-Exempt, Full Time, Permanent
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director & Associate Director of Pharmacy
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
Pay Range: Band B ($20.50 - 26.00/hour)

YOUR ROLE & IMPACT
As part of a dynamic team at Charles River Community Health (CRCH), a healthcare practice providing compassionate care to underserved communities, the Pharmacy Technician will play a key role to assist the pharmacy team in the preparation, billing, and dispensing of prescription and OTC medications to Charles River Community Health Pharmacy patients. CRCH Pharmacies are on-site pharmacies that are designed to provide exceptional outpatient pharmacy services to CRCH and community patients.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide exceptional personal customer service and accommodate patient needs in a timely, efficient, and caring manner.
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications while maintaining productivity as well as regulatory and quality standards.
- Maintain patient records and prescription information using a pharmacy computer system.
- Perform duties in an accurate, timely, knowledgeable, thorough, and complete manner.
- Answer telephone calls in a timely, professional manner.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, TRAITS, AND MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS
- Active MA Pharmacy Technician Registration
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be flexible and be able to work different schedules to meet the needs of the pharmacy and organization. (Pharmacy Department Hours: 9am-7pm Mon, Tues, Thurs. 9am-5pm Wed & Fri, and 9am-1pm Saturdays)
- Demonstrate competent working knowledge of pharmacy claims adjudication.
- Must be able to work in fast-paced environment.
- Possess ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks.
- Must be adaptable, with a willingness to learn new responsibilities.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Requirements
- Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed by passing the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam
- Prior recent experience (1-2yrs) in a retail community setting.
- Knowledge of 340B Drug Pricing Program.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
- PioneerRX Experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to travel to Waltham & Brighton locations in accordance with staffing needs. (Pharmacy Department Hours: 9am-7pm Mon, Tues, Thurs. 9am-5pm Wed & Fri, and 9am-1pm Saturdays)
