About the Job
Summit Academy, an all male residential school, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse -LPN for full-time /part-time work.
*Summary*
The LPN promotes good health, treats minor medical problems, responds to medical emergencies, provides first aid, administers medications, and ensures that all medical needs of students are addressed. The LPN assists in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care under the direction of the physician.
*Primary Duties and Responsibilities*
· Administers physician prescribed medications and treatments as ordered
· Controls and maintains adequate inventory of medications and medical supplies
· Responds to all medical emergencies and provides first aid and emergency assistance as needed
· Maintains all medical documentation and medical history on each student
· Promotes good health habits, hygiene, and nutrition for all students
· Evaluates and maintains the quality of medical care for students
· Ensures medical treatment complies with all licensing and regulatory requirements
· Communicates all pertinent student related medical information to the interdisciplinary team while remaining HIPAA compliant
Child abuse, criminal history, driver’s license, FBI and medical clearances are required upon employment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
