Position: LPN LTC
Location: Bellingham Washington
Job Type: 6 to 8 week contracts
Hours: 12 hour days or nights 36 hour guarantee
Pay: $36.00 to $40 depending on mileage

Job Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides essential nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility. The LPN works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and is responsible for administering medications, monitoring patients' health, and assisting with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate compassion, patience, and a commitment to providing high-quality care to residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record vital signs, and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team.
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents and their families.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and observations.
- Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Assist with the orientation and training of new nursing staff.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid LPN license in the state of [State].
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and electronic health records.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
Work Environment:
- This position involves working in a long-term care facility with a diverse population of residents.
- May require occasional evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.
