Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Shift: 6:00p-6:30a
Pay - $30-$35/hr based on experience.
Our client is a premier healthcare facility dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive medical care to the community. They are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their night shift team. The LPN will work under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or physician, providing basic medical care to patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Provide basic medical care, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and monitoring patient conditions.
- Assist with patient hygiene, feeding, and mobility as needed.
- Record patient information accurately in medical records.
- Medical Procedures:
- Prepare and administer injections, change dressings, and insert catheters.
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care.
- Collect samples for laboratory tests and perform routine laboratory tests as needed.
- Support Services:
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and medication usage.
- Respond to patient calls and provide necessary assistance.
- Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns or questions they may have.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated and effective care.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
- Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors.
- Compliance:
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA guidelines.
- Follow facility policies and procedures to ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Keep up-to-date with continuing education and licensure requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid LPN license in the state of Arkansas.
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
