Licensed Practical Nurse LPN - North Oaks Communities

LPN - Full-time 7-3:30 and various part-time shifts!

North Oaks Communities LLC is an upscale senior living community.  We are seeking a LPN Staff Nurse who is looking to make a difference in the lives of our seniors. 

The LPN Staff Nurse is responsible for the accurate and timely administrations of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency calls as indicated.

Essential Duties:

1.                  Consistently administers medications accurately.

2.                  Administers treatments, including, but not limited to:  dressings, catherization, suctioning, oxygen, etc.

3.                  Assists in direct resident care as necessary.  Responds to resident emergency call system as indicated.

4.                  Maintains accurate documentation of medication administered and care rendered.

5.                  Maintains the self respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each patient.

6.                  Assures continuity of services and care.

7.                  Keeps physician and family aware of change in resident’s condition.

8.         HIPAA Compliance - follows written policies and procedures to ensure confidentiality of     protected health information.

9.        OIG Compliance - follows written policies and procedures to comply with the federal and state laws and regulations.

Other Duties:

1.                  Assists in admission and discharge procedures.

2.                  Makes rounds with physicians and transcribes orders.

3.                  Attends in-service training and educations sessions as assigned.

4.                  Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

1.                   Licensed Practical Nurse licensed by the State of Maryland.

2.                  At least 6 months licensed nursing experience.  Geriatric involvement preferable.

3.                  Compliance with North Oaks Influenza Vaccination Policy is required for this position for all North Oaks employees.  Please refer to the policy for details.  All North Oaks employees may access the North Oaks Influenza Vaccination Policy via their Human Resources representative or Executive Director.

4.                  CPR Certification.
