- 0-1 years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)
- 1-3 years of experience eligible for $7,500 (full time)
- 3+ years of experience eligible for $10,000 (full time)
- Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time LPN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
- Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
MaineHealth,Portland Family Medicine Practice is seeking a part-time, 20 hours per week, Licensed Practical Nurse.
We are a large family medicine practice that provides care for multi-cultural patients from birth to seniors. Our office is looking for a team member with a positive attitude, collaborative work experiences, and is eager to learn. We support a Residency Program that provides dynamic patient care and learning opportunities. The ideal candidate must have the desire to work with a diverse patient population in a dynamic teaching environment.
The hoursfor this position will fall between 7am-7pm.

- Position Summary
- Position is responsible for assisting with total patient care by performing clinical duties under the supervision of physicians and the clinical manager.
- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Diploma from an approved practical nursing program.
- License/Certifications: Active State of Maine Nursing License or eligible for licensure. Current BLS required.
- Experience: Two years' LPN experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.
- Familiarity with health care systems, regulations, policies and functions.
- Understanding of documentation standards.
- Knowledge of infectious disease management and control safety standards.
- Skill in reading and following written and oral medical orders.
- Skill in handling a number of tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug dosages.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and diverse patient populations.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of the electronic medical record.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
