As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide essential patient care in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. Your role will focus on supporting patients' daily needs, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Assist in the daily care of patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding, while ensuring comfort and dignity.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patients for side effects and effectiveness.
- Observe and record patients' vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition, reporting any concerns to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in electronic health records (EHR).
- Work closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and support treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health management, medication usage, and preventive care strategies.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate care environment.
Requirements
- Completion of a practical nursing program from an accredited institution.
- Valid state LPN license and current CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining confidentiality.
